Art Guidelines for CMAC Advertising
CMAC is currently using the following programs in both PC and MAC formats:
Adobe Illustrator 9.0, Adobe Photoshop 6.0 and Quark Xpress 4.1.
Disk Requirements:
Please provide files on either 3.5" floppy (PC Only), Zip Disks 40 or 80 (PC and MAC), or CD Rom (PC and MAC).
What to include:
1. A workable file that can be changed and a copy of this file saved as an .EPS document.
2. All fonts including printer and screen that are necessary for the output of your file.
Tip: Convert fonts to graphics (use "create outlines" in Illustrator, or "convert to curves")
3. Graphics that were used or imported such as logos, clip art, photos, etc.
4. A color proof of the desired output with Pantone colors or equivalent CMYK values indicated for all colors. In the absence of PMS Values we will match the provided color proof.
Digital Output:
The higher the optical resolution scan, the more an image can be enlarged. Our output resolution is 600 dpi. Please consider the following formula when calculating the optimum resolution:
(Output Width x Output Resolution) / (Input Width x Pixel Duplication Ratio) = Scan Resolution
Other Important Tips:
• Raster graphics should be saved as a *.tiff or an *.eps Photoshop file
• Files should contain CMYK channels only, embed color profile when saving
• Include a complete file directory of all images on each disk
• Documents should be set up proportionately to the final output size
• Include ALL Native files and Graphics
• Include a color accurate laser proof (indicate PMS Values)
• All scans should be imported in as CMYK Tiff or EPS
